Daniel Luke

BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy, MSST

Dan is a Sports Therapy graduate from the University of Central Lancashire and extremely committed to his field; working hard to channel his talent and knowledge into his client base.

Dan’s passion for understanding the musculoskeletal system first developed due to his own experience of sports injury and rehabilitation. Dan experienced an ACL rupture whilst playing rugby, which required surgery and extensive rehab.

The process of recovering from his initial injury to an effective return to his sport initiated the career path he champions today. Dan has a firm desire to make a clinical difference to patients and support their return to full activity as quickly and safely as possible.

Dan is now a keen triathlete with an eye for adventure sport and a love of tough terrain. He takes full advantage of Cornwall’s coastline and beaches, and often enjoys trips to the Lake District where there are plenty of fells and mountains to run and climb.

He has experienced both codes of rugby at amateur, professional and international level, having spent time with Wharfedale RUFC, Sale Sharks RUFC academy, Wakefield Trinity RFL, St Helens RFL and Scotland RFL during the recent Four Nations tournament.

I was very impressed with the service Dan provides from the first session I had. He took the time to really listen to me to get a better understanding of how my injury came about and how it may be affecting other areas of my body. The treatment and exercises have made a dramatic impact on my overall physical health as well as to the specific injury. I’m now able to complete movements I thought I would not be able to again. This is due to Dan’s expertise and encouraging manner. I have already recommended Dan to friends and colleagues and I will continue to do so.

Dan is very flexible in his approach in that he tailors the treatment to your individual needs. He is dynamic and will work through the different pain locations. He teaches very useful stretches to help increase movement range. He will share with you his formulation about what maintains your symptoms and how to start breaking some circles. He also makes the sessions as accessible as possible to accommodate your work commitments. Dan is a very reliable, knowledgeable and friendly practitioner.
Through my work with Dan I have become more mobile and my body does not go into spasm. I feel freer in my movement range and my function tolerance has increased. I would recommend Dan whole heartedly. ~ Cris
