Melanie is an experienced Reflexologist and has spent three decades in the wellness industry. She specialises in supporting clients across three key areas of wellbeing: anxiety, stress and burnout; women’s lifelong health, and; pregnancy and the postnatal period.
Reflexology is an ancient, safe, natural, complementary therapy that is perfect for modern life. It involves applying pressure, stimulation and soothing techniques to specific reflex points on your feet and face to rebalance the corresponding organs, glands and areas of your body. Reflexology provides deep, active rest and triggers the parasympathetic nervous system which calms stress. There are many recognised benefits of reflexology, including its ability to: reduce stress; improve sleep; soothe the nerves; release feel-good, pain-relieving endorphins; improve the circulation; help your body heal; promote the elimination of toxins, and; boost your overall sense of wellbeing and vitality.
Melanie says: “I believe that rest is our super-power! When we are deeply relaxed, our body and mind function better, it’s that simple! I love helping people find balance, calm and positivity in their busy lives. I treat you as a whole person rather than see you as a list of ailments, and take time to listen to your unique needs, personalising each treatment and holding space for your self-care. You will find me non-judgemental, practical, reassuring and compassionate. I look forward to supporting you on your wellbeing journey!”
Alongside her practice at Falmouth Active Health, Melanie runs her business – Rebalance Wellbeing – facilitating wellness workshops for global organisations, providing one-to-one wellness coaching, and running group mindfulness sessions. Melanie is also a course educator for a Falmouth-based antenatal programme, and works as a women’s adventure holiday and retreat host.

Chloë Finch-Kent PhD is the Director of Falmouth Active Health Collective and is delighted to be part of the team, primarily offering Five Elements Acupuncture and Facial (Cosmetic) Acupuncture.
Chloë is fascinated by nature, and comes from an academic background, with a PhD in evolutionary developmental biology from the University of Cambridge. She is entranced by mind-body connections and lines in the body that channel our strengths and allow our minds and bodies to move freely.
These lines share parallels everywhere we look; developmental lines are reflected not only in ancient systems such as Chinese Medicine but also in more Western ways of looking at the body, such as neuro-myo-fascial meridians. Naturally, these wonderful interconnections provide ample sources of pain and trouble when not quite in balance, and Chloë loves to help you restore this balance, through acupuncture, soft tissue therapy and restorative practices.
As well as her passion for therapeutic work, Chloë offers facial acupuncture. This is an uplifting acupuncture treatment that works on deep levels to promote a sense of grounding and letting go, while specialist needle work provides a natural lift to the face and helps to fade wrinkles and lines.

Counselling is a form of therapy based around talking. Rich offers person centred therapy which means that sessions are directed by you the client. It is exclusively your choice on what you bring to the session, what you want to talk about, and the goals you want to set. While Rich will not prescribe any action or life decision for you, he can help you to understand the issues you might be having, help you solve the problems that might be bothering you, and help you get to the place that you want to be, by listening to what you want to talk about, and exploring where you want to go.
Rich has helped many people to understand themselves better, make powerful changes in their lives and heal from stress and trauma. You can get in touch with him via his website at Falmouth Counselling or via contacting Falmouth Active Health directly. He is dedicated to supporting you with any problem you may wish to bring, anything at all.

I offer supportive, insightful and transformative counselling through my practice Spirals Counselling. By creating a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship, it is possible to recover from painful, emotional or traumatic life experiences, and move forwards with greater awareness, confidence and well-being.
Through a process of sensitive exploration and reflection, we work together to understand and resolve personal difficulties, increase self-awareness and gain helpful strategies to maintain your mental and emotional health into the future.
Alongside talking therapy, I may also incorporate somatic exercises, creativity or mindfulness techniques if appropriate. I am an experinced trauma therapist, working for CLEAR in addition to my own service Spirals Counselling. CLEAR specialises in supporting children, young people and adults affected by trauma.
With my many years as a meditation and Tai Chi practitioner and teaching groups to relax into their authentic selves through movement and discussion, I believe that counselling can also be a space for exploration of spirituality, life transitions, relationships, personal growth and self-development.
Supervision provides a confidential opportunity to explore in depth the implicit and subtle dynamics that arise within the professional counselling role. My approach is non-judgemental and enquiring, facilitating both personal and professional growth.
Supportive supervision helps to maintain ethical boundaries and encourages therapists to clarify and enhance their strengths and training, which in turn benefits their clients’ process.

Drawing on her 20-year experience as a psychotherapist and now, somatic body-oriented coach, Claire offers a supportive space to gain a deeper awareness of yourself, a situation, and/or relationship dynamics. It might be that you have experienced difficulties, are feeling stuck or not as happy as you would like, overwhelmed, anxious or managing a health challenge. Claire describes her sessions as,
“A place to embrace the inseparable connection between mind and body. By engaging the whole self in conversation, we encourage alignment, create flow and allow insights to emerge. By offering yourself space, we can notice beliefs and patterns that no longer serve, making room for new, more resourced ways of being. When these are integrated as a whole self – a bodymind – change is not only possible but lasting, as rewiring neural pathways creates sustainable transformation.
Expanding our capacity in this way builds healthy nervous system regulation, resilience and resourcefulness, helping us move with greater ease through life’s inevitable challenges. With greater awareness, we can feel empowered, as we come to understand that just as our bodymind remembers past experiences, it also learns from the new experiences we choose to enrich it with.
By making space for conscious change, we free ourselves from limitations and invite in balance, joy, curiosity, play, ease and creativity. Together, we create a clearer path forward, so you can consciously conduct life.
As humans, we learn through relationship. There is something courageous in the willingness to meet the other and be transformed by the encounter.”
Claire worked for ten years as an art psychotherapist with children, young people and their families in NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. Within two settings, a Male Young Offenders Institute and a community hospital, Claire was predominantly attending to complex trauma secondary to abuse and neglect. Alongside this, Claire completed a 3-year, in-depth study in Psychoanalytic Infant Observation, learning first-hand the impact of our earliest experiences. Training with The Somatic School and completing their ICF Accredited Somatic Body-Oriented Coaching certification has given Claire the tools and experience to further align her practise as whole bodied.
Claire offers a free introductory chat. Please get in touch with Claire her via our Booking page or explore her website, Conducting Space.

Lynne is a skilled Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) therapist who enjoys tailoring this powerful treatment to your specific health needs. MLD is a gentle yet profound treatment that speeds up the action of the lymphatic system. Your amazing lymphatic system is a body-wide network of channels running from your deepest tissues to superficial skin layers. It keeps the flow and distribution of fluids in your body well balanced and also plays vital roles in immunity and defence against infections. MLD therapy involves a range of specialised and gentle, rhythmic, pumping techniques to move the skin, stimulating the lymphatic system to work harder. This accelerates removal of excess fluid and waste products, redirecting fluid away from areas of swelling and discomfort.
MLD is both preventative and remedial. It can enhance your sense of wellbeing as it induces very deep relaxation. MLD can support treatment and control of issues such as lymphoedema; lipodaema; healing after surgery, wounds or burns; relieving swollen legs in pregnancy, swollen ankles, puffy eyes; improving skin conditions and rheumatoid arthritis; and strengthening the immune system. Lynne will be happy to hear from you if you’d like to know more about how she may be able to support you with Manual Lymphatic Drainage treatments at Falmouth Active Health.
As well as MLD, Lynne offers Holistic Massage Therapy, a relaxing and rejuvenating treatment that aims to bring relief from aches and pains, reduce stress and support your general wellbeing.
You are welcome to explore more about Lynne’s treatments at her new website, Cove Therapy MLD & Massage and get in touch with her today!

Sara is an active working mum whose journey into wellbeing began when she suffered from postnatal depression after the birth of her second child. Prior to this she had been very busy enjoying lots of physical activities and working as a dental nurse. During her journey from depression back to health, Sara discovered refleoxlogy and fell in love with it as a healing modality. She’s fully trained as a reflexologist and enjoys working with a wide range of clients in Cornwall. Sara’s treatments give you a welcome space in which to relax and receive the many benefits of reflexology, from improved mental health and sleep quality to greater freedom of movement and general wellbeing.
Speaking of her own wellness journey through depression, Sara shares that, “Depression was a complete shock to me as I had never suffered from it before. It proceeded to send me on a personal wellbeing / wellness journey; I decided that medication was not the way forward for me and I became curious and intrigued by many different therapeutic modalities which in turn have played a huge part of my healing journey. I put all my strength in to getting myself through depression naturally and more than 10 years on I absolutely love the wellness path that I have taken, and am only getting more and more curious about all of these fantastic healing modalities. Part of my wellness path lead to me train as a reflexologist and I really enjoy offering it to my clients as a relaxing and powerful way to feel better in mind and body.”
Sara is always looking to broaden her mind. She loves podcasts and reading books about health, wellbeing and other topics. As well as being a mum and reflexologist, Sara also runs a small wellbeing business with a friend, organising wellness events and introducing people to different healing modalities. They’ve had fun recently organising corporate workplace wellbeing days and a Snowdon Sunrise mountain hike. Sara is commited to her own healing journey and helping you through yours!
