Claire Green

Body Oriented Psychotherapist

Claire worked for ten years as an Art Psychotherapist with children, young people and their families in NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. Within two settings, a Male Young Offenders Institute and a community hospital, Claire was predominantly attending to complex trauma secondary to abuse and neglect. Within these settings, Claire worked one-to-one or in groups with service users and offered clinical supervision to staff. Alongside this, Claire completed a 3-year, in-depth study in Psychoanalytic Infant Observation, learning firsthand the impact of our earliest experiences.

“It is safe to say, that after my academic achievements and a full working life, it has been the past 7 years that I have devoted to being a mother that turned out to be truly where the alchemy of experience showed its value. With curiosity, I learn from my two children as they grow, not only about human development but also about the importance of a healthy environment and who we decide to be within in it. It is like an honorary PhD! My experiences in this role and continued personal and professional development give me a rich understanding of the power that a connected bodymind can have. The book of who we are is written in the body (A. Wiser-Cornell).”

Fascinated by the links of physical and emotional health, Claire has experienced the insight that it is important to attend to the whole system, moving from the false dichotomy of mind and body. Training with The Somatic School and completing their ICF Accredited Somatic Body-oriented Coaching certification has given Claire the tools and experience to put what she is passionate about into practise.

Claire offers a free introductory chat. Please email her on clairegreenpsychotherapy@outlook.com. To make an initial enquiry

Sara Anderson

Reflexologist

Sara is an active working mum whose journey into wellbeing began when she suffered from postnatal depression after the birth of her second child. Prior to this she had been very busy enjoying lots of physical activities  and working as a dental nurse.  As she says
“Depression was a complete shock to me as I had never suffered before. This proceeded to send me on a personal wellbeing / wellness journey, I decided for me medication was not the way forward and I became curious and intrigued by many different modalities which in turn have played a huge part of my healing journey, i put all my strength in to getting myself through it naturally. 10 years on I absolutely love the wellness path that I have taken, and am only getting more and more curious about all of these fantastic modalities. Part of my wellness path lead to me enrol on a reflexology course 2 years ago. I love podcasts and reading books, which have broadened my mind. Myself and my best friend run a small wellbeing business whereby we organise wellness events, introducing people to different modalities.  We have also organised some corporate workplace wellbeing days and most recently organised a Snowdon Sunrise mountain hike.”

Keren Cooksey

Ayurvedic Practitioner & Senior Yoga Teacher

Keren has had an avid interest in Ayurveda since she undertook her first yoga teacher training in 2004. During that course and sub sequent teacher trainings, she skimmed the surface of this ancient healing modality and began to incorporate little elements into her day to day life.

In 2012, Keren went to San Francisco to undertake a yoga teacher training with Laughing Lotus and it was during this training that she began to realise how amazing this science was.

In 2017 Keren returned to Laughing Lotus, this time in New York to study with Dr Ali Cramer and Dr Claudia Welch on an Ayurveda for Women’s Health training. This training inspired her to go on and undertake her 750hr Ayurveda practitioner course with the Ayurvedic Institute in Croydon, UK. Since then Keren has continued to study a variety of short courses with Ayurvedic masters across the globe.

Keren has experienced the healing effects of Ayurveda first hand in her own body and is excited to share what she has learnt with her clients.
